Globe Engineering Works (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned company specializing in oilrig & ship repairs and modifications. Dry docking, afloat repairs and conversions are carried out on all types of vessels including cargo vessels, fishing vessels, workboats, barges and drilling units.

Globe is the largest tenant of the port of Cape Town and has a range of workshops enabling them to offer a one-stop shop service to ship and oil rig owners. The company’s workshop facilities offer a full and comprehensive general and marine engineering service built up over a century of commitment to excellence and dedication to the marine industry.  

Besides being the largest ship repair company, Globe has also produced the most skilled artisans for the broader industry. With an operational team of over 120 skilled and experienced project managers and artisans, they have an average service record in excess of 20 years at the company. This ensures labour stability and quality of workmanship to the client.
